Hey guys,
I am really really sorry for being too busy and lazy to write!
We all wrote our exams in the past weeks and had to suffer
in the last two weeks in classes before Christmas Break.
We had our Christmas Dinner and Christmas Carol Service
which was awesome! Although I think that the Christmas Dinner
of the Senior Years was better than ours.
Now we have Christmas Break, today is the second Christmas
Day and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and in only a few
days a happy new year! I hope you got a lot of presents and had
a wonderful christmassy family time.

Senior Play
We just had the senior play, where the 5th year made a 2 hour performance. It was called 'The importance of being Earnest' by Oscar Wilde and it was hilarious. I really enjoyed it, even if schools plays are normally very, very boring.
I am amazed how much text they could remember, because I would never be able to do that. I guess everyone has a lot of respect for them now!

Back in School
Hey guys,
I am not sure who is reading this, and I am not sure if this really matters, but if some real people out there are reading this, I actually ask myself if you're interested in what I am writing down. I know that this is not really important, because this is just a school blog but still.
We are all back in school now (I arrived yesterday at midnight) and it is a little shock if I am honest. You have to wake up early again, have to do prep, meet people you just know since 2 month (ok that is quite a lot, but I hope you get what I mean) and everything is the same again. I wonder if you can change while everything stays the same.
My Halfterm-Holidays weren't really interesting. Of course I met my friends but because in Germany they have had their Holidays already, now everyone is in school.
At least I reached my goal of reading books. I finished a series (5th book,
was great!) and started a new one (maybe you know it - the Mortal Instruments?).
I tried to start reading here, too. But it is not the same, less time, less joy, less effort.
This is really sad, because I used to read about 2-3 books a week.
- If you read this and are interested in what I am writing, please comment below, I would be really happy! And if you want to you can tell me a book you liked, I will try to read it!

Drama
Hey guys,
In school we have a subject called Module, it changes every 6 weeks and is something like "Careers" "Finance" etc.
This week is Module Rotation 2 and after Careers, I have Drama with Mr. Swift now.
It is really fun and after a few "circle group games" we helped Mr. Swift to break up the Scaffolding.
This is Mr. Swift (obviously the man in the red shirt) and Robyn (blue shirt).
This is Robyn (left), Deane (center), Jack (right) and Mr. Swift (background).
This is Callum and Lisa, thanks Lisa for the wonderful seflies! ;)

It was really fun and I am looking already forward to the next Drama lesson.
Today at 7:30 during prep, Paul Murray (the author of the book "Skippy dies") visited SCC (St. Columba's College) and read something from his book and answered our questions. It was really cool, even if it was a little bit long lasting.
Even though the day and week was great I am happy that sunday is near and that I am back in Germany for the Halfterm-Holidays soon (next week Friday - my flight is at 12:30, already excited!).
I hope your week was nice too and depending on where you live I hope you had, have or will have nice holidays!!

Columbian Life
In school we have to write so many essays but except of that we don't have really homework -prep-.
The first years are feeding us all, I think they just want us to be so fat, so we don't find a boy and we will keep doing something with them! It's a secret tactic and I believe it's true!! (by the way, they feed us with really good cookies and Glory -one of the first years- ate her first Starbucks cookie today!!! She loves it!)
I still wish I could tell you gossip, but I guess it wouldn't be a good idea. Who likes who, who hates who is the question! So guess who I like.. it's not hard. ;)

Exodus
I am home in Germany now!!!
Greetings from my friends!
(The picture under this text shows them, on the left is Theresa, then Thommi, me, Luzie and then Philine)
This is my favorite picture, because we are all simply crazy. I hope we will never change! <3
I send this post 2 days later because I was so busy! I met my friends, we went out eating Sushi, laughed and hat a lot of fun! Today I was in the museum with my parents (Museum Ludwig) and it was not so boring I thought it would be!
I will come back tomorrow afternoon, I hope you had a great weekend too!

House Speeches
This Blog is about my Transition Year - and because of that I have to write about our House Speeches which took place yesterday evening (28th,September 2014, Sunday) at 8 pm.
First of all, it was really fun, even if I wasn't on stage. Ella hold a Speech about Imagines and she won it. The second place were Douglas (about Drugs) and Sey (about the missing girls) and the fourth place Max (about stupid Footballers).
The winners in my heart are still John -who made a hilarious speech about the Black Stereotypes- and Robyn about her trip to Donegal. But one sentence will stay in my mind from Seylogos Speech about Boko Haram, the group who kidnapped 200 girls who are still missed. In the end of her speech she said: "Today is the 160th day the girls are missed, and I pray every night for them to be found." It was really moving, and I just want to remind you, that every day bad things happen.
This are all the students in my year who hold a speech:

Packet - BEST IN MY LIFE!
I swear I love my Mum! Her packet had a perfect timing!
She send me this:
and a card where she said that I told her once over Skype that I miss my stuffed animal, so she decided to send me this although I am soon back in Germany! And if this wouldn't be enough she send me cookies, Maoam, Chocolate, and my favorite jellies!!! I love her!
She send me this:
Aware
Hey guys,
I am really sorry, yesterday was really busy and I am sick today, so it was really hard to write!
Yesterday we all went bagpacking in Dun Drum to raise money for the Charity Aware, which helps against Depression (http://www.aware.ie/).
This is the second and my group! - and obviously the best group!
It was really fun and we all enjoyed it, until we had to walk back. We had to walk around 30 minutes and nobody knew the way! So we decided to ask a few Taxi drivers and one of them remembered one of our group (Lukas, he is not on the picture) because he drove him a week ealier to Dun Drum.
After that we finally found our way and I was really happy coming back to my cookies!
In the evening, Mali (a student from form 6) and Julinka (student from form 5) went out to Dun Drum and eat with Mali's family, it was fantastic and so much better than the school food.
This is my dessert (warm chocolate brownie with peanut ice cream and strawberries):
I just heard that I got a packet and I will just check what it is and after that I will go sleeping again.
Have a better day than mine and be careful that you won't catch a cold too!

Adventures
Today after dinner we had one hour left and I didn't know what to do, so I asked Pippa (who told me a day earlier that she is going often outside for a walk) if she wants to go outside with me. Luckily she said yes and we started to walk. We walked down a long road and she said that the last time she walked this street she stopped because she saw a house (probably a teacher's house). This time we found a path and when we saw a wall with grass on the other side, sun and trees it was like in a movie (do you know 'Bridge to Terebithia? Great movie, maybe just for small kids, but still..) and suddenly we started to run. It was really funny and the landscape was fantastic!
If you don't know how I look, that's me -around me is the place I talked about- :
This is Pippa and me next to the wall.
And I couldn't believe it when I saw that there grew Blackberries!!! I hope in a few weeks we can taste them.
After 30 minutes we walked back and we saw deers, no joke! I am sorry for the quality of this pictures, but I took them all with my phone and the deers were too far away to take a better picture.
If you want to check out Pippa's TY Blog: http://hiddenwallflower8.wordpress.com/
Hockey Match
Today I watched my first Hockey Match! It was really really interesting and I am looking forward to that moment when I will play my own Hockey Match!

Feeling Home
Even though I feel still homesick, we all started to settle in more and more.
Today I started to decorate my dorm with Washi Tape (thanks Robyn!) and it looks awesome -at least that is my opinion-. Here is a picture of it:

What do you think? Have one of you a good DIY (Do-it-yourself) idea to decorate my dorm?
I would be happy if I got some ideas!

Roomates
Hey guys,
for those who don't know it yet, everyone in our year has to make a blog.
When you're interested in finding out more about my roommates, or just in watching other Blogs, you can visit their blogs.
First of all Blanaid, she is Irish and a wonderful person, a little bit crazy (she really reminds me of Jamie in Jamie's world -> https://www.youtube.com/user/theJamiesWorld ) and although she is the messiest person I know (yes, messier than me!) she is great in school!
Her Blog -> http://mytransitionyearblog1.blogspot.ie/
Then Robyn, Irish too, and one of the friendliest and loveliest person I was pleasant to meet in my life. (No I am not dramatising it, it is just the truth!)
Brown (now) short hair, "Unicorn enthusiast" and so awkward, it matches perfect with my awkwardness! She and Blanaid are nominated for the house speeches (in every house in our School got 2 Students nominated to hold a speech in a few weeks).
Her Blog -> https://robynsdiary.wordpress.com/
Sophie, she is also German, funny, cute and you have to like her! We both have the best bed exactly next to the window and we enjoy that! And of course we are just speaking English here ;)
Last but not least Ana. Ana is Spaniard (from Valencia) has the prettiest, longest, curly, brown hair I know, soooo cute, she has an awesome accent and has the bed next to mine!

Spanish Expedition - Movie
Today we were with all the Spanish classes in the cinema. We were in the movie "The Golden Dream" and it was.. no words.. maybe depressing, but really, I am amazed how much can happen in one movie! Maybe you will watch it too, maybe not, hope for the best!

Causey Farm- Bog Jumping
Hey!
That's our group in front of the bus. (:
Luis took my phone - it was selfie time! They're awesome, aren't they? :D
We baked bread on ourselves, and in the end we all had flour everywhere!
(And it was really tasty, thanks for Maria, she's so good in baking and cooking!!!)
John! I'm still sorry for the Flour-Punch in your face! :D
Today a lot of our 4th years got their junior certificate and to celebrate it - or to be distracted- we went to the Causey farm (1,5 hours from St. Columba's College away) to Bog Jumping.
The mood was really great, we all laughed and had so much fun!
Here are a few pic's, i hope you'll enjoy it!

That is us, Bog Jumping. For those who don't know what it is, it's like swimming in dirt. Just with more fun and more smell!
We needed 30 minutes to get the dirt off!!!!
After that we went to McDonald's, the best idea in the last weeks!

Dun Drum
Hey guys,
it's Monday today and we were yesterday in Dun Drum! For those who don't know what Dun Drum is, it's the biggest Shopping Center in whole Ireland!
When you go to DD you are surely going home with new stuff, I promise you.
Guess what, what did I buy? Yes, FOOD! I am so hungry all the time and I have to admit that I forgot to buy Cookies. I am so sorry and I totally regret it!
And after almost one week now, I start to get really homesick, even if the students are so nice and I already found really good friends.
On Wednesday we will make a trip to surprise-where and I hope it'll be fun!

Prep-Time
Today's Friday, and our second 'real' school day.
I have good news for those who read my first post, the first years were quiet today and we got our sleep, we went to chapel and made all the things you're doing in school.
My first lessons were Biology with Mr. Jones and we spoke about 'what's Biology' 'what's Science' and 'human being', it was really interesting! I know, I know, I wouldn't believe it too, but I thought it would be much more boring than it actually was.
After that I had Classical Studies and we just talked about what we will do the next year (Philosophy, Romans, Greeks, etc.). The next lessons were Spanish (meeting in the Lower Argyle because of the many french classes) , English (meeting in the BSR), Computer Studies (that was quiet interesting too, we spoke about the definition of the word 'creative') and my last lesson was another meeting at the BSR because of our Math classes, but normally I would have Health class and I am already exited about what we will do next Friday in our first lesson.
Maybe you don't agree with me, but for the first lessons I am really happy with my timetable and everything else. Hopefully I will still be happy for the weeks to come!

First Day
Today was our first day in St. Columba's College. My roommates and me slept so well -it's unbelievable when you think at our nervousness about the first day- unless.. yeah, unless the first years next to our room woke up at 6 o'clock. I mean, we had to wake up at 8 o'clock (that's one hour more than in Germany!)! But they didn't just wake up and that's all, no, they took a shower and screamed in the Bathroom. Not so bad at all, if our room wouldn't be exactly next to the Bathroom and everything what happens in the Bathroom thats louder than just a shower, will be heard in our room!
So, good morning everyone!
But things got better -thanks god- we had a spartan breakfast (and my mother said I would get fat in Ireland.. pff) and after that we met in Lower Argyle (it's the same room we're meeting for prep-time) and made a "meet and greet" with a few teachers. Also Mr. Jones, the great man behind this Blog-Task. After that we were separated into different groups, (my group was with Mr. McCarthy, he is my Classical Studies teacher and he is awesome!)
We got our time tables and after that -best. thing. ever!- we had lunch! I mean, everyone knows that school food sucks, but today we got mashed potatoes, sausages, gravy, noodle salad, salad and -my heaven- brownies! They were adorable! Did anyone ate them too?
Robyn: "Cookie, talk about Cookies!" ok that's easy! So, we talked about Starbucks, so my second question here is, does anybody know the cookies from Starbucks? We all think that they're the best!
But also normal self-made American Cookies are great!
And because we just talked about cookies I got so hungry! Thanks god for having dinner in a few minutes!
